Crazy Man's Handcuffs
-
This is a simple but effective magic trick. First, stretch a rubber band between your index finger and thumb. Dangle another rubber band in between your hand and the first rubber band before securing it with your thumb. You should be holding both rubber bands the same way with each hand. Pull them taut against each other to show they are solid. As you are pulling, slip your middle finger above the horizontal band and straighten again. The rubber bands should separate but remain on your fingers, as though they have passed through each other.
Jumping Rubber Band
-
This effect involves the rubber band jumping from one finger to another. Put the rubber band on your index and middle finger. Make a fist so that you can only see the rubber band on one side. Stretch the band over your entire fist. This is the point your spectators should begin viewing. Open your fist and the rubber band should jump to your ring finger and little finger as if by its own free will.

Boomerang Rubber Band
-
This is not a magic trick but is a fun thing to do with rubber bands. In this process, the rubber band is flicked across the room and then rolls back across the floor. Hold your hand stretched out with your index finger pointing up and the pinky finger at roughly a 90-degree angle. Stretch the rubber band between your thumb and little finger slightly behind the nails. The top half of the rubber band should be loose while the bottom half is taut. Pull the loose half down to your little finger and use your index finger to ensure that both halves are tight. Pulling your thumb out should cause the band to shoot across the room. This trick may take practice to learn.
Vanishing Rubber Band
-
This effect involves holding two rubber bands against each other and pulling so that one appears to vanish. In reality there is only one rubber band. The rubber band is held by the right hand between the index finger and the thumb. The rubber band is twisted and the left hand holds the new section like the right hand is holding the rest of the rubber band. This appears to be two rubber bands intersecting. Then let go with your left hand and it appears that one of the bands has disappeared.
