Hair Frosting Ideas
Frosting is a technique that involves bleaching your hair. Frosting your hair will result in a general salt-and-pepper look for your hair. This technique is performed by bleaching certain strands of hair while, at the same time, leaving other adjacent strands of hair alone. The final frosting look is actually a mix of natural hair and the dyed hair. Does this Spark an idea?

Protective Cap
-
One hair frosting idea involves the use of a plastic cap over your head. Such a cap will have holes in it for selected strands of hair that must then be pulled through the holes. The hair that is pulled through the holes is intended for frosting. The hair on your head that is not being frosted is protected underneath the plastic cap. This approach is good if you want to avoid exposing your skin to any chemicals in the frosting agent.
Aluminum Foil
-
Another hair frosting idea involves the use of aluminum foil. For this idea, pick some strands of your hair and position them on a piece of aluminum square foil. Apply bleach from approximately 2 cm away from your scalp all the way down to the tips. To complete the frosting process, wrap and fold the entire piece of aluminum foil all around your hair. This second frosting idea is also perfect for you if you want to frost your hair, but avoid exposing your scalp to chemicals.

Reverse Frosting
-
Reverse frosting is an idea that you can use if you feel that your highlighted hair color is starting to look too light after it has been touched up a few times. To reverse-frost your hair, you have to don a plastic cap and pull the strands of hair you want through its holes. You then apply either a semi or a permanent color that is near to your natural hair color. As a result, the excessively light hair color will be broken up.
Watch the Time
-
Successful hair frosting involves watching the length of time that you are frosting a strand of hair. After 30 minutes of applying bleach, you should check how it is doing already. If the hair is still an undesired shade, then just re-apply the frosting to that particular strand of hair. Also be sure to check various strands of hair from time to time. Make certain to read the directions on the box of the frosting product regarding how often to check your hair.
