Baby food containers are the perfect size for crafting some creative and delicate art projects. Instead of throwing these ubiquitous containers away, transform them into something special. Decorate baby food containers to make petite pieces of art that you can use to jazz up your space or give to others. Before starting any of the projects, thoroughly clean and dry the containers.

Sand Art
-
Create colorful and engaging sand art with your baby food jars. Purchase sand in several different shades from a craft store. Layer the sand into the jar in an assortment of different hues, crafting a decorative piece that will catch the eye. Spray or hand paint the lid in a color that goes with the shades of sand before securing it to the jar.
Petite Floral Decoration
-
Make a mini floral delight with your baby food containers. Purchase sheets of green floral foam along with some silk flowers and some decorative ribbon. Cut the floral foam to size and place it inside each baby food jar; secure the foam with some school glue at the bottom. Clip your silk flower stems short and arrange them, sticking them into the floral foam. Wrap the ribbon around the jar to hide the foam. Tie a bow with the ends of the ribbon. Use hot glue to secure it.

Decorative Candle Holder
-
Craft a tiny tealight holder with your baby food jar. Lay the jar on a sheet of decorative tissue paper. Place a mark at the top and the bottom of the jar and cut a strip sized appropriately to fit around it. Create a mixture of one part school glue and two parts water. Gently dip the tissue paper in the glue mixture. Wrap the paper around the jar, pressing it tightly against the glass. Allow to dry. Place a tealight in the container and light it. The tissue paper, now slightly more translucent, will create an attractive glow.
Desk Supply Container
-
Complete an art project that is both attractive and useful by crafting a covered container you can use to organize your desk supplies. Select a small piece of scrapbook or wrapping paper. Cut a strip of the paper to fit around the jar. Secure the paper to the jar with school glue. Use this tiny yet attractive container to hold small supplies such as paper clips and thumbtacks.
