Beer is one of the most common alcoholic beverages in the world. Popular American beers include such brands as Budweiser and Coors, while other countries have famous brands of their own. Some of the most well-known beers include Mexican , Dutch , Australian and German beers. Does this Spark an idea?

  1. Corona Extra

    • Corona Extra is a Mexican beer, which dates back to 1925, when it was introduced to the market as the sister brand of Cerveza Modelo. Corona can found in more than 150 countries and is the top-selling beer in Mexico, as well as the top-selling Mexican beer in the world (as of the publication date of this article). Corona is universally known as a symbol for relaxation and personal connections.

    Heineken

    • Heineken is a Dutch beer, which dates back to 1864, when Gerard Adriaan Heineken bought a brewery in Amsterdam. In 1999, Heineken was voted Brand of the Century in the Netherlands. Heineken introduced the draftkeg in 2005, which was developed for consumers who like to drink draft beer. Heineken is sold in more than 170 countries.

    Foster's

    • Foster's is an Australian beer, which dates back to 1887, when William and Ralph Foster created it. Due to Australia's warm climate, the beer was originally sold with ice. Foster's is available in more than 150 countries and is the top-selling Australian beer in the world (as of the publication date of this article). Foster's is known in America for its "oil can," which is a 25.4 oz. can, resembling a motor oil can. Foster's also uses Pride of Ringwood hops, which are added at the end of the brewing process to preserve their freshness.

    Beck's

    • Beck's is a German beer, which dates back to 1873, when Ludar Rutenberg, Heinrich Beck and Thomas May joined forces to establish the brand. The beer is made from soft water from a deep well in the Rotenburgen Rhine, barley, hops and yeast suited to turn maltose into alcohol. While many beers come in brown bottles, Beck's comes in green bottles.
