    • Hansen Natural Corporation was formed in 1935 in Southern California by Hubert Hansen and his three sons. Their motto "only the best will do" earned them a loyal following.

    History

    • In the 1930s, Hansen Natural Corporation sold fresh, non-pasteurized juices to film studios and retailers around Southern California. The company was then known as Hansen's Juices. It later became known as The Fresh Juice Company of California, Inc, and opened a plant in Los Angeles in 1946. In the 1970s Hubert Hansen's grandson Tim developed a variety of natural sodas and marketed them under the Hansen's label. The company filed for bankruptcy in 1988. It was acquired by the California CoPackers Corporation. This company distributed the products under the name "Hansen Beverage Company." In 1993 the company moved to Azusa, Calif, and in 1998 ihe company moved to Corona, Calif.

    • In 2009, Hansen Natural Corporation boasted a revenue of $1.14 billion (according to Wikinvest). It offers a range of products including Hansen's Natural Sodas, Hansen's Calorie Free Sodas and Hansen's Natural Soda Mixers. Monster Energy Drinks enjoy a lot of recognition due to its sponsorship of numerous sporting events.

    • According to Hansen's official website, the company gained a position near the top of the Forbes list of the 200 Best Small Companies in the USA, and Hansen's Natural Soda won the 1999/2000 Gold Medal from the American Tasting Institute.
