Girl Scout Cookie Crafts
Girl Scouts have been selling cookies for more than 80 years. The profits from the cookie sales help support Girl Scout troops around the country. Buying and selling Girl Scout cookies teaches girls about business, people skills and raising money. Get into the Girl Scout cookie spirit by creating arts and crafts based on those unforgettable, cute and kosher cookies.

Cookie Crumbs
-
Give each girl a piece of paper, and have her cut out a big circle "cookie." Each girl chooses one word to represent the Girl Scout troop, such as friends or courage. Each of these words has seven letters (so there will be seven crumbs). Spell the word out on the "cookie" spreading each letter far apart from the next letter, then cut out each letter and these will be the "crumbs." The creator of the "cookie" mixes up her "crumbs" with two to three other girls' crumbs. The group of girls then tries to put the "crumbs" back together to figure out each "cookie's" message.
Musical Cookies
-
Scouts use empty Girl Scout cookie boxes to cut out pictures of their favorite cookie. Each girl then places her picture on the floor, creating a large circle with all the other girls' pictures. Turn some music on and let the girls walk around the outside of the circle. When the music stops, they each need to sit on a picture. They are out if they sit on their own picture.

A Girl Scout At Your Door
-
Give each girl a piece of paper to draw a house. Go outside to gather grass, sticks and leaves to create a yard for the house. Each girl uses another sheet of paper to cut out a 3 x 2-inch door. Fold ¼-inch of the vertical edge of the door and glue this edge to the house. Have the girls practice what to say when they will knock on their neighbors' doors to sell cookies.
Cookie Necklace
-
Cut a 12-inch piece of yarn or string for each girl. Use color construction paper to cut out "cookies" in the colors of Girl Scout cookies, such as brown or black for Thin Mints and orange for Shortbread. Hole punch one hole at the top of each "cookie" and thread the yarn through the "cookie." Thread buttons or beads in between each "cookie." You can also make a bracelet to match the necklace.
