Ways to Phone in a Pizza Order

You can order a pizza through almost any device.

With an influx in expanding technology, even simple tasks such as ordering a pizza have become seemingly complicated as methods of ordering have expanded. Traditionally, one simply had to phone in an order to a local pizzeria and have cash or check on hand once they arrived at the door. Now, there are many ways to order and many ways to pay. Luckily, no matter what communication device you have access to, ordering a pizza is always a plausible option.

Locate a Pizzeria

Locate the pizzeria from which you would like to order. You can do this either by going online and locating their website, or you can look them up through a phone book.

Phoning in an Order

To phone in an order, locate the pizzeria's telephone number either on their website or in the Yellow Pages. Be sure to know what you would like to order ahead of time. Alert the customer service representative on the other line whether you would like to pick up the order at the store or have the order delivered. There may be an additional charge for delivery.

Online Ordering

Some pizzerias, especially nationwide chains, offer the option of online ordering. In addition to not having to speak with someone directly, online ordering allows the individual to see the full menu before ordering, proving itself to be a more convenient option for some. To order online, go to the company's website and select the "Place an Order" option. The electronic form will require the same information that you would give to a customer service representative over the phone, which will include your address, home telephone number, payment information and pick-up or delivery preference. Make sure that all information is correct before submitting. The online option is more likely to allow a customer to pay with a credit card, though some restaurants will allow this option over the phone. If you would like to pay with a credit card, ordering online may be the best option.

Smart Phone Ordering

If you have a smart phone, there may be an application that you can download that allows you to order a pizza in a similar way to placing an order online. Search through your application store for the restaurant that you would like to order from. Download the application and input your information similarly to how you would do when ordering online.
