Find cute ways to capture your new crush.

Dating in high school can be full of fun and adventure without all the concerns adults have in their relationships. When you've got your eye on special someone and need a cute way to ask them out, decide if you want to be extreme or subtle and just do it.

  1. Status Update

    • If you and your certain someone are already friends, use social media, such as Facebook or Twitter, to update your status by asking them out. This semi-subtle approach spotlights your wishes to all of your friends and lets them know you are confident about taking your friendship to the next level. Post something like, "Can't wait to get a yes from (name) to go to the party" or "(name), I kinda like you, will you go out with me?"

    Ransom Note

    • Create a ransom note out of old newspaper and magazine clippings. Have one of your crush's friends "capture" an item such as his notebook, cell phone case or other fun personal item. In the note, say you'll hold it hostage if he won't go on a date with you or fork over $3 million in cash. Have the note delivered in his locker or passed to him during lunch and wait for his response.

    Take Out An Ad

    • If you're serious about dating this person and are really looking to ramp up your approach, take out an ad in your school newspaper or magazine asking her out. If she participates in any special activities or has a position such as the president of a club or team captain, mention that in your ad. "Class clown with a witty personality and great smile seeks Glee Club president for a movie on Friday night." If subtlety isn't your thing, post a direct advertisement: "[Name], can you be ready at 7:30 p.m. so that we can go to the movies together?"

    Cheerleader Chant

    • When you want to say it loud and proud, work with a few of your school cheerleaders to get your message across. Get their help creating a special cheer to ask your crush out on a date. "2-4-6-8, come on [name], let's go on a date." For a daring task, plan the special chant during a major event such as a pep rally or during a breaka at a sports game.
