Ideas for Cinderella-Themed Wedding Centerpieces
Most little girls dream of their wedding day and walking down the aisle in Cinderella style. When the wedding day is approaching and the bride chooses to have a Cinderella-themed wedding, you have many options for planning the centerpieces. With a little creativity, centerpieces with Cinderella style are easy to create.
-
Glass Slipper
-
Thinking about Cinderella brings about thoughts of glass slippers and balls. Glass slippers are easy to find online at affordable prices. For the centerpiece, choose a mirror to place in the center of the table. Mirrors are available in a variety of shapes, including circles, ovals, squares, rectangles and octagons. Place the glass slipper in the center of the mirror. Fill the slipper with flowers that match the color scheme of the wedding, and dust the mirror with a sprinkling of flower petals. Place tea lights in clear votive holders on the mirror.
Pumpkins
-
Pumpkins are fun and will add a fabulous look as a centerpiece for the wedding tables. Choose white pumpkins in a variety of shapes from the local farmer's market or the local grocery store. Another option is to choose a variety of any color pumpkin and then spray-paint them in white and silver. Group the pumpkins in the center of the table, and surround them with a variety of greenery. Boston Fern leaves work very well under the pumpkins. Choose a variety of sizes of tapered candles in white, silver or a color matching the wedding colors. Place the tapers in glass holders and position them around or within the pumpkin arrangement.

Storybooks
-
An interesting centerpiece that will wow your guests is to create three-dimensional storybook centerpieces. Buy as many copies of the same Cinderella storybook at the local discount book store. For each table, choose a different page in the book around which to build the centerpiece. Either lay the book flat and open, or stand the book up. Create a three-dimensional scene using the illustration from the pages of the storybooks as a model. For example, for the page with the scene where Cinderella walks down the steps as she enters the ball, create steps coming off the page using stiff colored cardboard. Cut out the pictures of the Prince and Cinderella, and mount them on the steps. Add fabric embellishments to create a three-dimensional skirt for Cinderella. Look for trinkets and embellishments at the local discount store for this project. A glue gun and a little creativity is all that is needed.
Crown
-
Purchase crowns at the local party store. Choose princess crowns and king crowns. Depending on the bride's desires, choose either gold or silver. Sew or buy satin pillows in a color complementary to the wedding colors. Arrange the crowns in the center of the table on top of the pillow. Sprinkle the table with a variety of glitters and flower petals to complement the wedding colors. Colorful candy added to the arrangement will also add to the overall appeal and fun of the centerpiece.
