The Average Salary of Health Promoters
Health promoters, also called health educators, provide information and instruction to communities as well as to individuals about living healthy in an effort to prevent illnesses and other medical conditions in the population. Health promoters must have at least a bachelor's degree, according to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, or in some cases a master's degree, to qualify for certain positions.

The 10th percentile of health promoters earned a salary of $26,120 while the 90th percentile earned $79,290. The 25th percentile of health promoters made $33,270 annually, and the 75th percentile brought in a salary of $60,970. The 50th percentile of health promoters made $44,340 in a year's time.

Fourth place went to the Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta area of Georgia, where health promoters earned a mean of $75,790. Health promoters in the San Francisco-San Mateo-Redwood City metropolitan area of California earned the fifth-highest mean annual income, at $75,450.
