Restaurant Games for Boys & Girls
It can take time for meals to arrive in a restaurant. Kids can get bored and fidgety during these times. Restaurant games are a good way to spend time with the kids while waiting for a meal. There are numerous games that you can play and adapt to the ages of the children present. It is important to try these games out before hand with your kids so you know that they will enjoy them at the restaurant.

Word Games
-
Bring a thesaurus or dictionary to the restaurant. Take turns picking out a word. Ask the children to provide a definition, synonym or antonym for the word. Each child gets one point for a correct answer. The child with the most points by the time the meal comes gets to choose a dessert for the entire family.
Imagination Games
-
Create your own story. Ask one child to start the story in two sentences. The next child continues the story and so on until the meal arrives. If the story is interesting to the children they can continue it on the ride back home.

Drawing Games
-
Pack some crayons and a pad with you for restaurant games. Have one child draw an object and ask another child to guess the name of the object. You can be creative with the drawings and change up the subject of the drawing each round. Ask the child drawing the object to pick a subject (for example, the name of a movie, type of car or a place) to draw.
Math Games
-
Play the percentage game. Pick a number and ask a child to calculate what the tip would be based on a certain percentage. Change the percentage and ask another child to calculate the tip again. Have the children challenge each other with different numbers.
