Hints for Webkinz Curio Shop Gem Hunt
The Webkinz site is full of activities that will keep kids busy for hours. In addition to playing arcade games for kinzcash and strolling around in the park for Mr. Moo's ice cream, children can hunt for gems in Arte's Curio Shop. The goal of the gem hunt game in Webkinz is to collect all 30 gems and receive the legendary Crown of Wonder.

Know Your Mines
-
There are a total of five mines, and each one holds a different colored gem. If you need a particular colored gem, you will have a better chance of finding it if you know which mine to look in. The Barking Mad Mine contains yellow gems, while the Flea Floater Mine houses the green gems. The Buried Bones Mine is full of white gems, and the Howling Horse Mine stores the blue gems. The Muzzle Mouth Mine is where you will find the red gems.
Keep Track of Your Gems
-
Knowing which gems you already found will help you decide whether or not to sell a gem when you find one. Arte always offers kinzcash for each gem after you find it. If you already have a corona topaz, for example, you would benefit more from taking the kinzcash that he offers. You only need one of each gem to get your Crown of Wonder.

Visit Often
-
You are only allowed to hunt for gems once each day. You can pick one of the five mines to hunt in. Once in the mine, you can break open a total of three rocks. You won't always find a gem. Some rocks are just slag, which amount to nothing. The more days you return to visit the mine, the faster you will obtain your Crown of Wonder.
Gem of the Day
-
Arte features a different gem each day, and calls it his "Gem of the Day." You will see the featured gem after you click on the button that says "Gem Hunt." Note the color of the featured gem so you know which mine to look in to find it. If you don't already own the "Gem of the Day," you may want to keep it after you locate it. If, however, you already found and kept one of these gems, you should seriously consider selling it. Arte always offers extra kinzcash for the "Gem of the Day."
