Good Reconnect Date Ideas
Going on a date with an old friend or partner is an exciting opportunity to reconnect with one another. Do this on neutral ground such as at a restaurant, or reestablish the relationship in the privacy of your own home. Regardless of the location, creating a fun or romantic vibe is important to display your feelings or anticipated outcome for the rekindling of this old relationship.

Double Date
-
If you suspect any awkwardness or want to ensure both of you have a great time, go on a double date. Choose someone who is close to you that you will feel comfortable with. Although it might be awkward at first for him, make sure the friend you choose has a date who he is likely to hit it off with. Going out with another couple will take the focus off just the two of you, and it may help each of you relax and enjoy the night. Go to your favorite restaurant, and end the night by heading to a comedy club or go bowling.
Wine Tasting
-
Reconnect with an old friend or date by taking her to a wine tasting. This will allow you to enjoy different types of wine along with fresh fruit, cheeses or chocolates together. If you cannot find a wine-tasting event in your area, create one yourself. Get three or four bottles of highly suggested wine, and create a snack plate that blends well with each type of wine. Lay a blanket beneath the stars, or curl up next to a warm fire and enjoy your time reconnecting with one another.

Movie Night
-
Make the reconnect date a traditional one by heading to the movies. Pick a movie both of you have wanted to see, or settle for a comedy to lighten the mood. This will give you the opportunity to reconnect over a common interest or have a few laughs together. End the date by reconnecting over a cup of coffee or hot chocolate at your favorite coffee house.
Dinner With a Twist
-
Have a quiet dinner at home if you want to rekindle an old romance or genuinely take time to get to know him again. Instead of cooking up one dish, cook up multiple. The twist is to create a menu that will allow the both of you to sample dishes from around the world. Create dishes that are inspired by France, Italy, India, Mexico or any other foreign country. Purchase an appropriate wine to accent each of the dishes, and eat by candlelight to create a romantic aura for the night.
