If your partner is cheating on you, he may not want to be intimate with you any longer. When you try to initiate intimate contact, even if it is only a hug, he is likely to pull away from you or seem apprehensive. Sex, even if your sex life was previously active, is likely one of the last things he wants to do with you. You may hear a lot of excuses, such as a headache or being too tired, about why he isn't into intimate contact.

In addition to changes in grooming habits, a cheater may start to get secretive about phone calls, texts, emails and chat sessions. He may leave for work earlier than normal or stay at work late. He also may begin to show interest in new things. For example, a man who hasn't ever cared about football may suddenly take an interest in it if that is something the other woman likes.

These mood swings are often the result of what is happening with the affair.
