Test the water temperature by running the hot water in your kitchen faucet, and place a waterproof thermometer under the water. If the water is too cold, increase the water temperature on your water heater. Check the water pressure with a water pressure gauge. If it's below 30 psi, contact your water company. Your dishwasher normally makes grinding, buzzing or crunching noises. If it vibrates, level it with wood shims. If you hear a squealing sound, check the heater fan, and purchase a new one if it's rusted. Listen to the motor. If it makes a lot of noise, replace the bearings if worn out or the motor if defective. Your dishwasher may leak if the door is not completely closed or if you are using old detergent. Check the door gaskets, and replace them if they are worn or cracked. Examine the water inlet valve and hoses. If any of these components are broken or split, change them out.
