Drinks to Help You Focus


On some days, people feel mentally and physically drained. When experienced this type of fatigue, it may be difficult to focus on work or school. When feeling a loss in focus and energy, certain drinks can aid in replenishing your alertness. These drinks contain natural stimulants to the body and mind.


  • Coffee is a drink popular in businesses, schools and at homes in the morning. The drink is brewed from roasted coffee beans and can either be served hot or cold. Coffee is a natural source of caffeine. It acts as a stimulant to the central nervous system, and can restore alertness and reduce drowsiness. Upon drinking a cup of coffee, an individual receives a short-term boost of energy and renewed sense of focus.

Orange Juice

  • Sugar in the form of glucose is another natural source of energy in the human body. The body metabolizes glucose from drinks to provide energy to the body and mind. A glass of orange juice gives glucose energy while providing the daily value of vitamin C.

Chocolate Milk

  • Chocolate milk is a beverage that combines chocolate syrup or powder to milk. The beverage is popular for children, as well as adults. Chocolate milk includes natural stimulants such as caffeine, which can enhance focus and concentration. The milk content includes vitamin D, calcium and phosphorous, which helps prevent diseases and builds stronger bones. Darker chocolate includes stronger concentrations of antioxidants, which further enhances its nutritional value.

Energy Drink

  • Energy drinks are specialized drinks that claim to boost energy. Instead of using sugar as the foundation for energy gain, energy drinks include a variety of stimulating vitamins and herbal supplements. The drink usually contains caffeine and vitamin B as the main ingredients. Other common ingredients include carbonated water, guarine, taurine and herbs. Energy drinks increase the alertness of its users while improving mental and cognitive performance throughout the day.
