While it can be enjoyed on its own or over ice, Bailey's has become a popular mixer in creating other beverages, including shots and cocktails as well as hot and blended drinks. From the French Toast and Girl Scout Cookie to the Gorilla Snot and Attitude Adjustment, there's a wide variety of shots you can make with Bailey's. For example, a Bumble Bee shot mixes one part of the Irish cream with one part Kahlua and one part sambuca. A Fat Cat shot turns two parts Bailey's, one part Amaretto almond liqueur and one part banana liqueur into a tasty drink. The Milky Way, Jam Doughnut and Peppermint Patty are a few other shooters that call for Bailey's.

Besides shots, there are a variety of Bailey's-based cocktails. A Screaming Orgasm, for example, calls for 1 oz. Bailey's Irish Cream, 1 oz. Galliano, 1/2 oz. Cointreau and Kahlua, and 1 oz. of double cream all mixed over ice in a cocktail shaker and served in a martini glass. A Matterhorn calls for 1 oz. Bailey's, 1 oz. of Kahlua and 1/2 oz. of Creme de Bananes. Fill a goblet with crushed ice and pour the three drinks over it in layers. Garnish with a chocolate stick.

While most alcoholic beverages are served cold, Bailey's can add some kick to hot drinks, too. Some people like to add Bailey's as a creamer in their coffee. Bailey's recommends making a Bailey's Hot Co-Co Bay drink. Use one part Bailey's, one part Captain Morgan Parrot Bay Coconut and one part hot chocolate. Prepare the hot chocolate as directed, pour it in a mug and mix in the alcohols. Serve with whipped cream.

Baileys Irish Cream can add some flavor to drinks mixed in a blender. A Mudslide creates a sweet treat with equal parts of Bailey's, Kahlua, vodka and double cream blended with ice and served in a highball glass. Throw some fruit into the mix and create a Bailey's Irish Cream Smoothie. Blend Bailey's, Kahlua, Advocaat, double cream and a diced banana together with ice. Serve with a strawberry and chocolate.
