    • Artificial insemination can be fruitless if the female does not live a healthy lifestyle. Lifestyle problems, such as obesity, blood pressure and even diabetes can affect a woman's potential to conceive, even in the perfect setting. Acidity in the uterus or vaginal area could be caused by an unhealthy lifestyle and this acidity can prevent optimum conception. Regular exercise and a good-quality diet thus increase the recipient's chances to become pregnant once she received AI.

The intrauterine insemination, which is considered as one of the better methods for conceiving a baby, requires the timing of ovulation to be perfect, which means that this could fail if the conditions are not optimal or ovulation periods are miscalculated.
