Working in a national park is appealing. There are national parks from coast to coast and they each have unique features. Most people are aware that park rangers work in the parks; they may not realize that some parks offer employment opportunities for people in medical profession. EMTs, nurses and doctors can find jobs at a national park.
USAJobs.com is the official job-site of the federal government. From this portal, applicants can view medical vacancies all over the United States. Search by agency and choose National Park Service or Bureau of Land Management. By limiting your search to these two agencies, you will find jobs related to the national parks. Some ranger positions prefer applicants to be EMT-certified, and there are limited opportunities for nurses and doctors.

Yosemite Medical Clinic
Deep in Yosemite National Park lies the Yosemite Medical Clinic. In 2011, the National Park Service began operating the small clinic after independent contractors failed to renew their services. The center treats 7,000 visitors per year. Staff are chosen from the United States Public Health Service. The clinic gives primary care, often assisting injured tourists who are staying in the park.
