Types of Stride Gum

Stride currently produces 13 flavors of gum.

The Cadbury Company, under the ownership of Kraft Foods, brought Stride Gum to the market in 2006. The company's main advertising for the product has focused on the long-lasting flavor of the gum. This long-lasting flavor comes from the blend of artificial sweeteners sorbitol and mannitol. These sweeteners are in every flavor of the Stride product line.

  1. Mint Flavors

    • Stride has four mint flavors in its current product lineup. Sweet Peppermint is the traditional and familiar peppermint flavor. Spearmint is Stride's long-lasting version of spearmint gum. Winterblue is a mint blend flavor, similar to wintergreen. The newest Stride mint flavor is Non-stop Mint, which is a different mint blend.

    Fruit Flavors

    • There are also four fruit flavors of Stride gum on the market. They are Eternal Melon -- a watermelon gum; Always Mandarin -- Stride's orange-flavored offering; Sweet Berry -- a berry blend; and Forever Fruit, a citrus- and peach-flavored gum.

    Other Classic Flavors

    • Stride also has two other familiar flavors available. Sweet Cinnamon is a cinnamon gum that is not as overpowering as some of the other cinnamon-flavored gums on the market. Uber Bubble is Stride's long-lasting version of the traditional bubble gum flavor.

    Shift and Mystery Flavors

    • Stride has three flavors that are not as simple to categorize. Stride introduced its Shift line of gum in 2007. There are two versions, Citrus to Mint and Berry to Mint. The Shift gum seems to change from one flavor to another. The newest variety of Stride gum is Mega Mystery, a gum with no stated flavor. The Mega Mystery description on the Stride webpage states: "Just chew a piece and let your taste buds unravel the enigma."
