Satan and a she-devil are popular Halloween costumes.

Dressing up for Halloween is always a blast. This year, why not couple up with your sweetheart and dress up as one of the most evil duos? The best and scariest Halloween costumes are usually pretty gothic looking and unique. There are several scary gothic Halloween costumes available online and in stores, or you can create your own costumes.

  1. Vampires

    • Vampire couple costumes are easy to get. Many stores carry both male and female vampire costumes. If you want to dress up as an official well-known vampire couple, dress up as Sookie and Bill from the show "True Blood." There is no reason that you can't make their outfits a bit scarier or more gothic. Sookie has her own powers and gets a lot of love bites on the show. Edward and Bella from "Twilight" are another well-known vampire couple.

    Gomez and Morticia

    • Snap your fingers and dress up as the lead couple of the Addams Family. Gomez Addams, clad in a suit, was the master of the Addams household. He had a white face with dark circles under his eyes. He also smoked cigars. Gomez was married to Morticia, who sported long black locks and a skin-tight black dress.

    Scary Bride and Groom

    • Frighten trick-or-treaters with Zombie bride-and-groom or Frankenstein and Bride-of-Frankenstein costumes. These classic costumes will be popular at any monster mash. Just decide if you prefer white or green makeup, grab a wedding dress and a suit and paint on some scars. These costumes can be found at most Halloween stores or consignment shops.

    Chucky and Tiffany

    • Chucky and Tiffany are no Barbie and Ken. While you can use doll costumes, this gruesome duo, well-known through a series of horror movies, should sport knives or an axe. After all, Chucky proposed to Tiffany holding a severed finger with the wedding ring still attached. Costumes of these two characters can be found in many costume stores.

Mad Hatter and Alice in Wonderland

    • While these two characters may not be evil, they are definitely trippy and if you go by the recent movie, their fashion sense is certainly gothic. Most costume stores will carry these costumes. If you check out some consignment shops, you may also be able to find a combination of clothes that fit the bill.
