  1. Video

    • Each Sony Bravia KDL-52W4100 has a maximum native resolution of 1,920 by 1,080 pixels, which is the standard optimal video format support for HDTVs. In all, the TV supports the 480p, 480i, 720p, 1080p and 1080i video modes. The KDL-52W4100 also plays movies at 24 frames per second with Sony's 24p True Camera feature. Other video specs include a 16 by 9 image aspect ratio, 30,000 to 1 dynamic contrast ratio, 3,000 to 1 image contrast ratio and 120-Hz refresh rate.

    Audio

    • The Sony Bravia KDL-52W4100 has S-Force Front Surround technology that provides the TV set with three-dimensional surround sound through its built-in stereo speakers. The speakers themselves combine for a total power of 10 watts. Other audio specs include 5.1-channel output and Dolby Digital support.

    Connectivity

    • Each Sony Bravia KDL-52W4100 has high-definition multimedia interfaces -- three in the front, one in the back -- for uncompressed digital audio/video data, as well as an input for users to connect their PCs and use it as a digital computer display. Also included are a Video Graphics Array connector for analog signal-bearing monitors, S-video output, three composite video inputs, two component video inputs, one optical digital video output and five audio jacks.

    Size and Power

    • Without a mounting stand, the Sony Bravia KDL-52W4100 measures 49.6 inches in width, 4.75 inches in depth and 32.75 inches in height. By attaching a pedestal to the TV's Video Electronics Standards Association-compliant mounting hole that measures about 300 by 300 millimeters, the depth and height increase to 13.75 inches and 34.4 inches, respectively. The mounting stands also boosts the weight from 71 lbs. to 84 lbs. A 295-watt cord supplies the HDTV's power.
