A gumball machine can add creativity to your home or business.

Gumball machines can be an eye-catching addition to your home or business. Although you may only think of a traditional, tabletop gumball machine, gumball machines actually come in all shapes and sizes. Some gumball machines are now interactive allowing you to watch your gum spiral down or play a quick game before the gum drops into your hands.

  1. Traditional Gumball Machine

    • The traditional gumball machine has a vintage feel that may be popular among antique collectors or could fit nicely in home game room. These machines have the glass dome that houses the gumballs and a colored metal base where the coin slot and dispenser are located. They are small enough to sit on a tabletop or a small stand.

You can get the same look of a traditional gumball machine but in a jumbo size. You may see these jumbo size gumball machines at malls or similar public gathering places as a creative and attention grabbing novelty items.

    Vending Gumball Machines

    • The vending machine style gumball machine at least triples the number of dispensers by putting more machines on one stand or rack. With the increased number of dispensers, you can add more flavors or colors to your gumball machine and potentially attract more customers. These machines allow you to tier the gumball machines or possibly choose different sizes of machines within the same stand or rack.

    Spiral Gumball Machines

    • Spiral gumball machines and spiral rocket gumball machines allow you to see a brief show while you wait for your gumball to arrive in its dispenser. The gumball releases from the machine and spirals down a long winding path to the bottom of the machine. Spiral gumball machines are generally much larger in scale than a traditional gumball machine and can be embellished with winding, blinking lights. Spiral machines also come in shapes such as a rocket for added entertainment.

    Interactive Gumball Machines

    • Designers are getting more creative with gumball machines by adding games. The Sportsball gumball machine sends 10 to 15 gumballs racing down a twisting roller-coaster ride before the first place gumball drops into the dispenser. The Soccerball gumball machine pits two players at two different dispensers against each other in a game of foosball. After the gumballs dispense from the machines, each player uses the foosball-like rods and soccer player figures to kick their gumball into the opposing goal.
