DIY Boxed Wildflower Seeds for Wedding Favors
Wedding favors are given to guests who attend your wedding and can come in the form of candles, candy or collectibles. Wildflower seeds in boxes are small wedding favors that can grow into big gardens. If you give wildflower seeds to your wedding guests, they will blossom with gratitude.

DIY Favors
-
Purchase 2-inch guest favor boxes from the wedding and party section in your local craft or party store. You can find packages of wildflower seeds in the garden area of your local home improvement store. Do not just throw the seeds in the boxes. Use plastic wrap or use tulle to wrap up the seeds. Cut a 2-inch piece of plastic wrap or tulle and put at least 10 seeds in each box.
Attach a Note
-
You need to attach or include a note with each box to explain what this little box of seeds is and what to do with them. Print your own notes using your computer's word processing or graphic design program. Set the font size to eight or 10, and type a message, such as: Your names and your wedding date, "Our love is blossoming today. Plant these wildflower seeds in your garden, and as the flowers grow, so will our love! Thank you for sharing this day with us." Cut out each note, fold them and place one in each box on top of the wrapped seeds.

Decorate the Boxes
-
Decorate each wedding favor with a ribbon in your wedding color or use a piece of twine for a rustic gardening look. Give one favor per person or one favor per couple. You could also purchase a stamp and an ink pad with a picture of a flower and stamp the boxes. The picture of the flower will give your guests a hint as to what is inside each box.
How to Give the Favors
-
There are three ways to present your guests with these DIY favors. You can place all of the favors together on one table, either gather the favors in a large basket or line them up in straight and neat rows. You can also place one favor at each dinner place setting or place the favors on the pews or benches in the church.
