Is There a Program That Lets Me Organize & Pay My Bills?
Disorganization can lead to financial trouble. If you can't find your bills, you might not know how much you owe or forget to pay them until the second notice comes. In addition, you won't have bills and receipts to use at tax time and you might be unsure how much money is in your bank account. Your bank, as well as private companies, has software available that you can use to help you organize your bills and pay them on time.

Online Banking
-
Many banks offer bill payment programs through online banking programs. You usually don't have to pay anything to use online bill payment services offered through your bank. You can add bills to your online banking service and pay them directly through your bank account. Some banks also allow you to set up automatic payments through online banking so that your creditors automatically deduct your bill payments from your bank account each month.
PayTrust
-
PayTrust is an online bill organizing and payment program. When you sign up for this program, PayTrust arranges to have all your bills sent to its service center, where it scans them and uploads them to your account. You can add up to 10 bank accounts and pay your bills online using the account of your choice. You can also electronically transfer money to any creditor you wish, even if that creditor doesn't send a bill to PayTrust. As of 2011, PayTrust offers a month-long free trial to new customers. It costs $5 per month and charges you 50 cents for each bill you receive and each payment you make.

MyCheckFree
-
MyCheckFree is a free bill payment service, similar to online banking. Using this program, you collect your bills at home and sign in to pay them. However, your creditors must also sign up with MyCheckFree to receive payments. Ask your creditors if they're associated with this program before you sign up, as you'll have to pay your bills through the mail if your creditors don't use MyCheckFree.
Quicken
-
Quicken is financial management software that allows you to organize and pay bills as well as keep track of what you're spending so that you can make better financial decisions. Quicken costs $60 per month as of 2011, but you must pay an extra $10 per month if you want to pay bills with it. You may pay up to 10 bills per month using Quicken software, and the software records each transaction so you can examine your spending patterns later.
