Nutrition coordinators educate patients on proper health habits and design meal plans.

Nutrition coordinators design nutritional plans and monitor their implementation. Some of these specialists might work with individual patients --- they assess their needs and create nutritional programs based on that information. Some work with large groups and provide general education on proper nutrition and prevention of the related diseases; some coordinate the work of dietitians or meal services in hospitals. In addition, nutrition coordinators might provide weight management services or work with athletes. Usually these professionals need a bachelor degree in food and nutrition related fields and a license or certification.
