Ideas to Reuse a Little Tikes Plastic Chalk Board
The plastic chalkboard from Little Tikes features two large plastic rectangles attached at the top to form an A-frame. One side of the board has sheets of paper and serves as an easel, while the other side features a chalkboard. Once your little ones outgrow the chalkboard, recycle it into a new item for the house. Turn the chalkboard into something for you or your kids.

New Table
-
Remove the screws at the top of the chalkboard that connect the two sides of the easel. Remove the plastic pieces in between the two that serve as the hinge of the easel. Measure the size of the chalkboard piece and purchase plywood to fit the sides of the board. Attach the plywood to the bottom with wood glue. Use more wood glue to attach four legs to the plywood bottom, using vintage wood legs or legs from an old table. If you want to hide the bright color of the plastic surrounding the chalkboard, cover with additional pieces of plywood, painted or stained in the color you like.
Home Signs
-
Turn the old chalkboard into a sign for your home. Unscrew the chalkboard from the easel and remove any additional connective pieces. Decorate the chalkboard with paint and make a "welcome to our home" sign or sign of your choosing. Cover the chalkboard with a layer of clear paint, sealing and protecting your design. You can have the kids draw or paint their own design on the chalkboard, and then use the clear paint to protect their work.

Chalkboard Clock
-
Make the Little Tikes chalkboard into a clock for your home. Craft stores sell clock making kits that include the arms, motor and numbers for the clock. Purchase a kit containing numbers and arms large enough for the chalkboard. Drill a small hole into the front of the chalkboard, making sure it reaches the back. Attach the motor to the back by pushing it through the hole and screwing in place. Attach the arms to the front of the motor and glue the numbers onto the front.
Playhouse Door
-
Turn the chalkboard into a door for a kid's playhouse. Break down the easel into two parts and use just the chalkboard side. Screw a hinge onto the side and attach the other side of the hinge to the front of the playhouse. Display fake flowers in the front container that is used for storing chalk and paint.
