The Most Unique Rings for Couples

All couples are different, no two are the same. Choosing rings that compliment and match personalities for one another are becoming more popular than the traditional wedding band. Lucky for those that choose to be different, there are many options available for a unique ring.

  1. Claddagh Ring

    • The Irish Claddagh ring is a unique couple ring because of the look. The Claddagh ring features a crowned heart, held by two hands and dates back more than 300 years. The Claddagh ring is worn two ways: On the left ring finger with the heart pointed outwards to signify an engagement or with the heart pointed inward to signify a marriage. The Claddagh ring is a symbolic ring with the hands meaning friendship, the heart meaning love and the crown meaning loyalty.

    Tattoo Rings

    • For a more permanent statement of love and devotion, a tattoo ring works best. The size of the tattoo ring ultimately depends on the person being tattooed, but a male ring is about 1/2 inch and a ladies ring is around 1/4 inch. Tattoo rings fade quickly, needing frequent touch ups. In the long run it may be less expensive to buy a regular engagement ring personalized to suit one's needs.

    Engraved Rings

    • Engraved rings are simpler looking rings, but with a more significant meaning behind them. Engrave your wedding date, favorite quote or saying on the inside or outside of the ring. An engraved ring turns out best when done on a solid flat band, in gold, white gold or another metal chosen for a ring.

    Design Your Own Ring

    • Many jewelers offer ways for you to customize your own rings. Custom rings can be made from a wide variety of metals that include: gold, silver, platinum or tungsten. Customize a designed ring with precious and semi-precious stones, such as diamonds, pearls and birthstones for the ultimate couple's ring.
