Traditional Pirate
-
Pirates typically wear a lot of red, black, brown and white so find clothes with these colors. Black pants with high boots and a baggy white button-down with a rugged vest is a great, simple pirate costume. Add hoop earrings and a triangle hat for a more authentic effect. Red and black stripes are also very reminiscent of pirate attire, so add a scarf with this pattern to finish off the ensemble.
Wench
-
A pirate wench costume starts with a short skirt with some kind of ruffle or padding underneath so it fluffs out a bit. A tight bodice is another essential element to this outfit. Add fishnet tights or ripped stockings, high heels and skull & cross bones jewelry to complete the look.

Captain
-
Transform yourself into a pirate captain with baggy gray or black pants tucked into boots - the higher the better. If you have no high boots, you can find boot covers at most costume stores. Wear a traditional pirate hat and eye patch, and be sure to carry a pirate sword to show the other pirates who's boss.
Captain Hook
-
Give Captain Hook's pirate attire a feminine twist by adding heels and fishnet stockings to a large red trench coat and red plumed pirate hat. Cinch the waist of the coat with a brown belt with a large buckle, and wear a white or gray ruffled scarf around your neck.
