Things to Do at a Ten Year High School Reunion
Ten-year reunions can't simply be thrown together; instead, they need to be planned by a reunion committee. Aside from overseeing finances and gathering classmates to attend the reunion, you'll have to plan what to do during the reunion. Getting people together isn't enough; you'll have to set up a fun, entertaining night so old friends can make new memories. Keep in mind that you may need to start planning as far as two years in advance.

Weekend Reunion
-
High school reunions are traditionally single-day events, but you can opt to plan a multiple-day reunion instead to stretch out the fun over a whole weekend. Hold a mixer with drinks and hors d'oeuvres at a local restaurant or bar Friday night so people can reconnect, chat and break the ice. During the day Saturday, go on a golf outing, visit a local tourism attraction or plan a shopping trip for everyone. The reunion dinner can be held Saturday night. On Sunday, host a farewell picnic for your class.
Traditional Activities
-
High school reunions typically start off with an opening speech and then include a cocktail hour, dinner and an open bar. Dinners usually include live music, too. Remember to give everyone plenty of free socializing time, since the main idea of a high school reunion is to get everyone back together to catch up.

Photographs
-
Aside from hiring a photographer, consider placing cameras on each table so everyone can take snapshots. After the reunion, send a file with the photos to everyone's email address. You can even rent a photo booth if you have room in your budget for it. If you have old photos, setup a slide show in one section of the venue, and run the show throughout the night.
Memory Lane
-
Consider having certain people either give a speech or pay tribute to special teachers or classmates who have passed away. Set up a stand with nostalgia from high school, and ask guests to bring their own nostalgic pieces to add to the collection. If you can arrange it, take your class on a tour of your old high school. You can also arrange for everyone to watch a high school athletic game, if the team is playing that day.
