Even a sophisticated 50th birthday party can be more fun with entertaining games. Games at a 50th birthday party can add excitement and help create a fun, relaxed atmosphere, and there are many different kinds to choose from that will make your birthday unforgettable. Does this Spark an idea?

      Whether played in teams or as individuals, board games are an easy and fun source of entertainment. Choose a board game theme, such as childhood games; include Life, Monopoly and Scrabble. For a trivia theme, try Trivial Pursuit, Tribond and Scene It? Put guests into teams and set up tables in different rooms. Set a timer and have guests rotate to the next timer when the time is up. Set up a scoring system and keep track of guests' points. Tally the totals at the end and award small prizes.

Your guests will have loads of fun reminiscing about past times while being "contestants."

When everyone has arrived, tell them that they must use the information on their cards to discover who their partner is. Or give each guest a slip of paper and have her write three things that not many people know about her (but not her name). Gather the cards and read each one. The first person to guess whose card it is gets a small prize.

If you want to get outside, play capture the flag, horseshoes, bocce or badminton.
