Types of Pepsi Products
Pepsi was started in North Carolina in 1898, but would not be officially known as Pepsi until 1903 when the first patent for Pepsi-Cola was filed by Caleb Bradham. Bradham was a young pharmacist working to invent a special drink to attract customers to his pharmacy. While historically, Pepsi was a single drink, today PepsiCo sells a variety of different drinks and has a growing food division. Does this Spark an idea?

Carbonated Soft Drinks

Pepsi is best known for its large variety of carbonated soft drinks, also known as soda or pop in some regions. Some of the company's more well known sodas include Pepsi, Mug Root Beer, Sierra Mist and Mountain Dew. Additional varieties include Mug Cream Soda, Pepsi MAX, Pepsi flavors and Mirinda; many of which are also available in diet versions. Some flavors are also available as a frozen beverage at frozen drink machines.
Fruit Flavored Beverages

The Sobe collection is a fruit flavored beverage line produced by Pepsi which also includes some dairy-based drinks. Dairy-based flavors include orange cream and pina colada. Fruit-flavored versions include Mango Melon and Vita-Boom Cranberry Grapefruit.

Energy Drinks

Energy drinks, which have recently become extremely popular, are another product in Pepsi's line up. Pepsi produces the energy drink brand AMP, as well as No Fear. Varieties of AMP include Elevate, Overdrive, ReLaunch, Lightening and Traction. No Fear is currently only available in two varieties: original and Motherload.
Juice and Juice Drinks

Ocean Spray, AMP, Dole, Lipton, Season's Harvest and Sobe are produce juice or juice-based drinks in the Pepsi product lineup. Lipton comes in several flavors including lemonade and strawberry melon. Meanwhile, Ocean Spray also has several flavors as does Tropicana and Season's Harvest.
Ready to Drink Coffee & Tea Drinks

Today, Pepsi also produces three ready to drink coffee brands: Seattle's Best, Frappuchino and DoubleShot. Flavors include mocha, vanilla, caramel and cinnamon dulce. The company also produces the popular ready to drink tea brand Lipton. Flavors of Lipton include lemon tea, peach tea, raspberry tea and green tea. Sobe and Tazo offer tea varities within their drink collections.
Sports Drinks

Gatorade is a well known sports drink brand produced by the Pepsi Company. Gatorade, G2 and Gatorade A.M. all have multiple flavors available. Flavors of Gatorade include orange, fruit punch and berry blue. Gatorade A.M. comes in orange-strawberry or tropical-mango. G2 also comes in multiple flavors including grape, lemon-lime and blueberry pomegranate.
Bottled Water

The Pepsi Co. produces several different brands of bottled water. Aquafina is available in plain water and in several flavors such as grape, strawberry-kiwi and peach mango. Flavored water, Propel, offers several flavors including black cherry, berry and lemon. Propel is available in powdered form and Sobe has a variety of flavored waters.
Snack Foods

H.W. Lay Company and the Frito Company became Frito-Lay, Inc. in 1961. Today, the company operates under Pepsi to produce a variety of popular, well known snack foods including Fritos, Tostitos, Lay's and Doritos. Pepsi Co. also produces Ruffles, Cracker Jack popcorn, Sun Chips, Cheetos and Rold Gold pretzels.

In 2001, Pepsi merged with Quaker Oats. Quaker Oats produces Quaker Oats and the Aunt Jemima pancake mixes and syrups. Previously, Quaker Oats had acquired the Golden Grain company.Rice-a-Roni, Pasta Roni, Near East side products, Life Cereal and Cap'n Crunch ready-to-eat cereals are products from that acquisition.
