The Ubiquitous Chip offers many options for dining, from a quick lunch to a three-course dinner. The restaurant has a brasserie offering traditional Scottish cuisine, and a dedicated bar that serves pub food for customers who want to eat while having a drink.

    Brel

    • Brel (brelbarrestaurant.com) is a Belgian restaurant and bar in Ashton Lane that offers both Belgian and Scottish bistro-style food. This restaurant is located in an historic building that used to be a stable and coach house. It has a private dining area on the first floor of its property that can be rented for private parties, business meetings and other events. There is a large variety of bottled and draft Belgian beers offered at the restaurant's bar.

Ashoka Ashton Lane serves predominately Indian food, although it does offer some unique dishes that have a Scottish influence, like the Haggis Pakora.

It specializes in American cuisine, and the majority of items on the menu here are burgers, ranging from simple cheeseburgers to much more elaborate offerings. Diners can try crocodile meat as well as ostrich meat in a burger if they dare. The burgers have names like Montezuma's Revenge and Jumping Jack Flash, and one of the extravagant desserts is called a Choccywoccydoodah.
