Make a Mobile
-
For Valentine's Day, consider making an inspirational mobile. These can be created in several ways. Use a dowel rod cut to a length you prefer or start with a hanger. Cut lengths of string, ribbon, yarn or even thin wire to attach the mobile hangings. Across the hanger or dowel rod mobile, write a verse about God's love, such as John 3:16 (KJV), "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life," or Jeremiah 31:3 (KJV), "Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn thee." Out of cardstock, cardboard or foam, create hangings. These might be circles or hearts featuring attributes of God's love, such as protector, provider, savior, friend and guide. Alternatively, consider creating a mobile that displays pictures of your family. Attach the hangings to the frame chosen and hang the mobile where the breeze will catch and move the inspirational items.
Goody Bag
-
Make inspirational goody bags for the special people in your life. To begin, decorate a small paper bag with a Bible verse about love or caring; use crayons, markers and glitter. For added decoration, consider adding heart-shaped cutouts or stickers to the bag. Alternatively, make a bag from two pieces of white felt. Sew or glue together the sides and bottom of the pieces or punch holes in them and lace the pieces together with ribbon or yarn. Decorate the bag with fabric paint or appliqués before filling it an assortment of inspirational quotes or poems on wallet-sized cards and Valentine's Day candy.

Inspirational Wreath
-
Create an inspirational Valentine's Day wreath. Start with a cardboard circle or heart cut to the size you want your wreath to be. Spray paint the cardboard and glue on various forms of greenery. On strips of ribbon, write Scripture references and phrases on love from I Corinthians 13, Verses 4 through 8, such as "Love is patient" and "Love is kind." Weave the ribbons into the greenery around the wreath. Instead of greenery, you can also create a wreath from paper or fabric hearts with the love quotes written on the hearts.
Stuffed Hearts
-
Create a stuffed heart for an inspirational Valentine's Day craft. Cut two large hearts from cardstock, felt or another soft material. Write an inspirational greeting on one side of the heart, such as, "Jesus loves you and so do I." Decorate the hearts with markers and glitter, and then glue them together. Punch holes around the hearts' edges for lacing or simply use a sewing stitch to connect them. Leave an opening through which you can stuff the heart; fill it with fiberfill or other pillow stuffing materials, and sew the opening shut to finish the project.
