Easy "Simpsons" Games for Kids

Video games based off "The Simpsons" are usually targeted towards adults, but a small collection are perfect for kids because they feature clean humor and easy controls. With driving games, coloring games and puzzle games, young players can make the Simpsons characters come to life on the computer, PS2 and Nintendo Gamecube.

  1. Coloring Games

    • These games ask players to digitally color Simpsons characters and print out their creations. In the "Homer Simpson Coloring Game" from games 96, players select various colors and match the colored picture of Homer next to it. The "Coloring Bart Simpson" game from Free Games features Bart Simpson on his skateboard. The game site 4 Yahoo features "Simpson Online Coloring." The picture to be colored includes Homer and his bar buddies Moe and Lenny.

    "Simpson's Road Rage"

    • Players have to manage very simple basic controls to play "Simpson's Road Rage." Players pick up characters and drop them off at different locations around Springfield. If they do it quick enough, they make money and can unlock extra cars and new sections. It also has a "Free Drive" mode for those who just want to roam around Springfield. It's on Xbox, PlayStation 2, Game Boy Advance and Nintendo Gamecube.

    "Simpsomaker"

    • Players make and design new "Simpsons" characters in "Simpsomaker" from Q4 Nobody. The game provides a generic Simpson body type. The player can click several options that alter the character's head, eyes, hair, nose and body frame. Accessories like glasses can complete the character. The "new" Springfield resident can be placed in familiar settings like Moe's Tavern, the Simpson's home and the elementary school.

    "Homer Simpson's Gone Fishing"

    • The local nuclear plant has created a lot of mutated fish in Springfield, but that does not stop Homer and Bart from fishing in "Homer Simpson's Gone Fishing." The online game from Kid Grounds gives you 12 casts to catch the most fish as possible. If you reel in garbage or a three-eyed fish, you receive negative points. Use the keyboard arrows to reel the line and cast it into the water.

    "Simpsons Home Interactive"

    • "Simpsons Home Interactive" from Free Online Games is a virtual tour of the Simpson home. Click on the different arrows to move from room to room. Use the mouse to select different characters and items that will talk or launch an animation. Use the "To Do" list for hints on places to click within the home like the television, Grandpa Simpson and the pets.

    "Simpsons Wrecking Ball"

    • Players take control of Homer and try to control a wrecking ball in this game based on a scene from "The Simpsons Movie." Use the keyboard arrows to guide Homer down a path so that the wrecking ball swings and hits an armored truck. Make the truck roll as far as possible to raise your score and move to the next level. If the ball misses the truck, it will swing back and end the game.
