Billboard Ideas for a Barbecue Stand
If you have a barbecue stand, then you want to get word out to the public that you are open for business. One way the let people know you are on the fast-casual dining scene is to rent a billboard. But before you throw up any old sign that might get lost in the shuffle, you want to creatively design your billboard so that people take notice.
-
Discount Word
-
The purpose of advertising on a billboard is that people not only see the billboard, but are inspired to come visit your establishment. One way to bring them to your barbecue location is to offer a discount if they mention a certain word or phrase while ordering. Tie the phase into the name of the business or the products you are selling. For example, the billboard might offer a discount if the customer says "I'm here for the ridiculous ribs." Using alliteration is a way to keep the discount phrase fun and memorable at the same time. Think about your barbecue stand, and your menu when coming up with a word or phrase for the discount.
Boast and Brag
-
Many barbecue stands take pride in bring "the best." You might have won some local contests or been written up by local papers as the best barbecue stand in town. Share those accolades with the community at large by placing that on your billboard. For example, if you just won "best ribs at the county fair" add that to the billboard. People will be intrigued in sampling the award winning ribs.
-
Shape
-
Many billboards have a standard rectangular shape. However, if you have a billboard that you own, or the owner will let you play with the shape, you can create a billboard that represents the products or services you sell. For example, you might create a barbecue billboard in the shape of a rack of ribs. Or you might create the billboard in the shape of a grill. This will cause people to take notice of the billboard since it will stand out from all the other billboards in the area. Then you can place your contact information and location inside that shape along with the graphics associated with your business.
Signature Specials
-
Creating a signature special at your barbecue stand will always give customers something to look forward to when they visit your establishment. That signature special can then be posted on the billboard. For example, maybe every Thursday night you offer a full rack of ribs for half price. Add a couple of sides and a cold beverage to make it a meal. The signature special will not only bring customers to your stand on a potentially slow night, but they are more likely to come with friends who are looking to get the same deal. From time to time you can chance the signature special on the billboard in the hopes of attracting new clientele.
