Solaria are associated with gardening, good health and fresh air. An unencapsulated part of your home that lets in sunlight has a positive psychological effect on human beings. This area of the home used as the solarium is often associated with indoor plants that create fresh oxygen. This solarium often allows fresh air inside the home through windows and plants.

A solarium is a section of a home that allows in natural light. Most solarium designs allow light come in on all sides of the room, while other designs have only transparent ceilings or transparent walls. Solaria, or sunrooms, are popular in the United Kingdom and all former colonies of the United Kingdom.
Benefits

Solaria provide opportunities for fresh air, gardening and greenery, all of which lower blood pressure and reduce stress. Any factor that reduces stress also reduces physical internal strain on the human body; examples include blood pressure, eye pressure and cardiovascular stress.

People often use solaria to get light tans or sun themselves. This extra exposure to sunlight comes with a serious skin cancer risk. Melanoma risk increases dramatically when those exposed have a fair complexion. The solarium also tends to have a much higher temperature than the rest of the home, which can cause a dramatic increase in body temperature. Body temperature spikes can present a risk for some seniors and those with extremely high blood pressure.
Benefits vs. Risks

For those without major health risks, solaria present a health bonus that includes higher levels of oxygen and lower levels of stress. Results and potential dangers will vary from person to person, but overall higher oxygen levels in the air are generally considered healthier. The skin cancer risk is significant, however; do not ignore it.
