The Best Animal Charities
To many people, giving to an animal charity is a fulfilling way to help dogs, cats and horses in need. Some people give by donating their time as volunteers, and most animal charities are nonprofit organizations. They are the voices of neglected or abused animals, and some perform animal rescues and adoptions. The money donated to these charities offsets the veterinary, boarding and operational costs of maintaining their facilities and ensures help for needy animals year after year.

Angel Canines for Wounded Warriors
-
Angel Canines for Wounded Warriors (angelcaninesforwoundedwarriors.org) or ACWW, provides free transportation for wounded American war veterans in need of a service dog to qualified organizations that provide them. The wounded veteran is then paired with a dog that can help him with his specific needs. During their stay at the Angel Canines organization, veterans are trained on how to use the dogs and begin the bonding experience that will grow trust between them. After the process is complete the veterans and their new service dogs will be provided air transportation home at no cost. It is the hope of this charity and its contributors that the wounded veterans will not just gain a new friend and helper, but also find new hope and a reason to face every challenging day.
