Ideas for Painting Boys' Faces
Children love having their faces painted. It is a way for them to express their fantasies and can add color and magic to parties and carnivals. Some children know exactly what they want to have painted, but other children prefer to get suggestions. There are several themes that appeal to most boys.

Animals
-
Many children love pretending to be animals. Cats, tigers and bears are popular for face-painting. Once their faces are painted boys love to run around growling and pretending to be the animal. Other animals popular with boys are snakes, spiders, lizards and insects like wasps. You can paint their faces to look like the animal, or if it is too challenging you can paint images of the animal on their cheeks.
Superheroes
-
Boys enjoy having their face painted as Spider-Man, Batman or other superheroes. Make sure you also have Mr. Incredible, Green Lantern and Captain America in your repertoire. Children may have their own ideas of what a superhero is so don't be surprised if you are asked to paint someone as a blue Navi character from the Avatar movie. Always use water-based non toxic paints for face painting

Scary faces
-
Boys often enjoy being painted as skeletons, ghosts, zombies or devils, and these face-painting ideas can also be used as part of a Halloween costume. They will enjoy running around trying to frighten people when they have their face painted with a scary character. Another popular scary face is Frankenstein with blood dripping from wounds and stitches on their faces.
Team Colors and Flags
-
Many boys will have a favorite sports team they want to support, and you can paint their faces in the team colors. If there is an international event you can paint their faces with the colors of the flag of the team they are supporting or draw the flag on each cheek. At Olympics time, you can also paint the five Olympic rings on their cheeks or forehead. Many boys will love attending live sports events with their faces painted in their teams colors.
