Artistic Jobs to do at Home
Creative individuals lend themselves well to artistic jobs. Great art and other creative endeavors require a certain leap of faith into an imagination some people simply do not posses. This may explain why creative people who assume artistic roles often choose to do so alone, usually working from home. The creative mind of Steve Wozniak, writer and co-founder of Apple Inc put it simply saying, "Artists work best alone. Work alone."

Creative Writing
-
Freelancing and writing websites make it easier than ever for a creative writer to generate an income from home. Projects ranging from writing short stories, children's books or blogs are not in short supply if you look hard enough. Working from home gives you a freedom of working when the inspiration strikes, as well as working away from distractions or interruptions from other people.
Illustrating
-
As creative as a writer may be, they may not feel confident or qualified to illustrate their own works. Illustrations are a particularly important part of many books, particularly those for books for children and teens. An illustrator is able to interpret the writer's creative vision and put that into illustrations. Many illustrator roles start out as freelance work. After experience is gained and relationships are built with writer and publishers, this can easily become a full time occupation. As with creative writing an artistic illustrator will often find working in the comfort of his home or studio more productive.

Fashion Designer
-
Although fashion designers tend to be schooled in a classroom situation initially, there is little requirement for you to continue to work with a group. There are many pattern making and fashion design courses available online. Once you have honed the basic skills, the rest is down to your creativity and artistic flair. Constructing your own fashion label, line of clothes or designing specific pieces can be done from home. By allowing yourself to be surrounded by what inspires you, creativity often comes easily. It is easier to make your home a creative zone than to redecorate an office.
Photographer
-
Largely known as a solo profession, a photographer needs to work autonomously to be successful. The vision you have as a photographer is hard to share with others until it has come to fruition. Photographers have a vast array of opportunities to work from home. Many magazines and newspapers accept freelance material and full time writers often have the option to work out of the office. There are also thousands of freelance photography jobs on websites such as Elance and Odesk. Home studios or dark rooms are also popular with photographers who manage their own projects and editing.
