Hollywood Bulletin Board Ideas
Teachers often decorate classrooms with a particular theme in mind. Hollywood-themed bulletin boards are appropriate for subjects such as music, geography, and back to school. Help make your bulletin boards authentic by looking at actual photos of the Hollywood area.

Hollywood Sign
-
Welcome students to your classroom with a bulletin board that looks like the iconic Hollywood hills sign. Decorate the background of the bulletin board to look like mountains, and decorate the position of the letters on the board so they are slightly staggered. Label the board with white letters, something such as "Welcome Back" or "Mrs. Smith's Class."
Hollywood Walk of Fame
-
People are awarded stars on the walk of fame primarily for five categories: contributions in the film, recording, live theatre and broadcast television or radio industries. Decorate a bulletin board that looks like the Hollywood Walk of Fame and award the kids in your class different awards. Consider altering the awards to fit the age group of your class or subject that you teach. For example, if you are a music teacher, pass out awards such as best jazz solo or best beat-boxer. Elementary school teachers might pass out awards to kids for great handwriting, fastest runner or best attitude.

And the Award Goes To...
-
Create a bulletin board honoring the students of the month as if they were actors in a famous Hollywood film. Title the board with something such as "And the Award Goes To..." or "And the Winner Is..." and decorate it with red felt to simulate the red carpet. Post visuals of golden trophies and include a photo of the student, dressed in a hat and sunglasses, like a real Hollywood star. Include a brief press release about why you chose the student over others for the month. For example, maybe this student has perfect attendance or always stays after class to help clean up. Allow the student to give his acceptance speech in front of the class, with a trophy in hand, in order to simulate the feel of an actual Hollywood award ceremony.
Movie Marquee
-
Create a Hollywood-themed bulletin board that helps students know what is coming up for the day. Decorate the board to look like a movie marquee with shining lights and gold stars. Rename your daily events to sound like feature films, and list the time that the event starts, just like a movie marquee would. For example, if your normal school subjects are science, math recess and music, you might list movie titles such as "Weird Science" at 9:05, "You Plus Me" at 9:45, "Admission" at 10:30 and "Sound of Music at 11:00."
Where the Stars Work
-
Hollywood stars may work in Hollywood, at music recording studios and movie sets, but they shop in nearby Beverly Hills. Create a bulletin board featuring pictures of places where the stars work, such as the iconic Capital Records Building or movie sets such as Warner Brothers. Include images on the board commonly associated with Hollywood, such as tall, skinny palm trees and photos of music or movie-recording equipment.
