Tie-Dye T-Shirts
-
A fun and creative way to turn a plain white T-shirt into art is by tie-dying the shirt. You'll need a package of plain white T-shirts, dye, water, rubber bands and a large container. Take the shirt and bunch it up. Place rubber bands over the bunched up material. The rubber bands will prevent the dye from getting on this part of the shirt, leaving it white and creating the design. Mix a packet of dye and cool water in the container. Leave the shirt in the mix for 20 minutes to allow the dye to saturate. Rinse the shirt with cool water. Remove the rubber bands and rinse again. Place the shirt on a drying rack or a hanger.
Photo Iron-On Transfers
-
Purchase iron-on transfer paper at most any store that sells photograph or copy paper. If you will not have a computer and printer with you during the weekend, print the photographs before you leave. In order to complete the iron-on, you will need a T-shirt, photograph printed on the iron-on transfer, iron and a towel. Put the shirt on the towel to protect the counter top below. Place the printed transfer on the shirt. Make sure the iron is on a low level and iron the entire photograph in a back and forth motion. Once you have finished, carefully remove the transfer paper. The photograph should have adhered to the shirt. If not, continue ironing until it has.

Fabric Markers
-
Fabric markers are a great way to write on a T-shirt. Design your own shirt by writing a slogan for the weekend on the shirt or drawing certain images that remind you of the weekend. Have a T-shirt signing party by having each woman wear a plain T-shirt. Then, take turns writing on each other’s shirts.
Rhinestones and Beads
-
If your group is feeling up to the task, add some pizzazz to your shirts with rhinestones, beads or any other materials you wish. Depending on how involved you want to get with the shirt, simply add a few sparkling rhinestones to the shirt or create more complex designs. Beads and stones can usually be glued to shirts with fabric glue, which will take a few hours to dry.
