Ideas for Princess Bedrooms

A princess room abounds with princess-themed decorations.

The luxury of having her very own princess bedroom rarely fails to spark the imagination of a little girl and make her feel like royalty. You can use a number of different things to create the perfect princess room for a little girl, including the right wallpaper and furniture. Base the decorations on the young girl's favorite Disney princess or a variety of different princesses including Cinderella, Jasmine and Snow White.

Bedding

Adorning the little girl's bed with princess-themed blankets, sheets and pillowcases might just be the most important aspect of creating a princess bedroom because it allows the child to feel like a princess even when she is lying down to sleep. Use blankets with lighter colors, such as pink or a soft purple color. Any other pastel color will also work well. Designs may include princess accessories such as tiaras, or pictures of Disney princesses.

Wall Art

Paint the walls pink or any other pastel color that will give the room a "princess" feel. Then hang up some wall art, including posters or paintings. Pictures may include castles, carriages, crowns and pictures of the girl's favorite Disney princesses. A princess-themed growth chart can hang on the wall to track the child's growth while adding to the princess theme of the room.

Figurines

Place a number of princess figurines and decorations on the shelves in the room. They may be miniature versions of the child's favorite Disney princesses and all of the characters associated with those princesses. Princess-themed snow globes will also add a nice touch to a little girl's princess themed bedroom. Cake decorations from a princess birthday cake can be knickknacks.

Furniture

There are a number of different types of furniture that will be appropriate items in the bedroom of a young child, including dressers, small chairs, miniature benches, lamps, rugs and toy boxes. All of these furniture items come with princess themes or in pastel colors.
