Cool Ways to Give Out Invitations
An invitation is the first contact you have with guests about an upcoming party and can showcase the mood or theme of the event to come. Start your party with a bang by inviting guests in a way they'll never forget. A singing telegram, message in a bottle, sports play and horseback delivery are some cool ways to give out invitations.

Singing Telegram
-
Wow your guests by inviting them to the party via a singing telegram. This message delivery service calls on a professional singer who will go to the guest's door and present the party's information with a song and dance. These singers often dress for the part, including as clowns, belly dancers or celebrity look-a-likes. If they can't reach everyone door to door, hire these performers to sing the invitation over the phone.
Message in a Bottle
-
Add some mystery to your invitation by making it a message in a bottle. Write the party information on a weathered-looking piece of paper. Roll it up and stick it in an empty bottle. Many party stores sell bottles that seal with a cork, or make your own with empty soda bottles. Just remove all the labels first. You can leave this invitation floating in a small pale of water on the guests' doorsteps, or attach the correct postage and send it through the mail.

Sports Equipment
-
For sports-themed events, such as birthday celebrations or a Super Bowl party, use some sports equipment to invite guests. Write the needed information of the event on a softball, basketball, soccer ball or hockey puck. Deliver it to the guests in that sport's style. For example, if the invitation is written on a football, tell your guest to "go long" before throwing her the ball and the message. This style of invitation will work for beach parties too. Just jot the invitation on a beach ball before tossing it to a guest.
Horseback
-
Deliver your invitations by a mode of transportation that brings out the party's theme. For a Western party, hand out the guests' invitations on horseback. Dress for the part with a cowboy hat, chaps and boots. A 1950s party's invitations can be delivered via a classic car from the era, with the deliverer wearing a poodle skirt and beehive hairdo. Arrive at the guest's home or business to give him an invite he won't forget.
