Other titles, like the original Cooking Mama, have players select a recipe to prepare. The player starts from scratch with the ingredients and has to use the stylus to chop, stir, slice and dice, followed by preparing the dish and evaluation by Mama. The graphics are bright, with an animelike appearance. The series of games are moderately challenging and can be frustrating for younger players.
