Bottle Brush Tree Crafts
A bottle brush tree is the ideal accessory if you want to add a bit of charming nostalgia to a room in your home. Although these vintage trees were usually used as a part of Christmas décor to dress up mantles and tables, this is no longer the case. Bottle brush trees can be dyed and decorated in a variety of ways to create whimsical decorations for any holiday or season.

Winter Wonderland
-
Recreate a winter wonderland using bottle brush trees. Paint the tree stands white and spray artificial snow on green bottle brush trees. Hot-glue miniature Christmas ornaments in bright colors to the trees. Hot-glue a Christmas star to the top of the tree to complete the look. Place the trees on a mantle or aligned down a table. Tuck fluffy white cotton around your bottle brush trees to create the illusion of snow. Place a small figurine of a cat, dog or children in the cotton snow for a touch of realism.
Easter Craft
-
Recreate a cute Easter scene by dying or spray painting bottle brush trees in pastel colors. Use Easter colors such as yellow, mint green, pale pink or lavender. Hot-glue miniature plastic or wooden Easter eggs to the tree. Use a spool of metallic thread in a complementary color as a tree stand. Tie a pastel ribbon to the top of the tree and let it drape down the sides. Add an Easter egg to the top of the tree. Hot-glue miniature bunnies or chicks around the spool of thread. Or, as an alternative, use colored grass around the bottle brush tree. Place a group of decorated Easter bottle brush trees together on a silver plate for a striking table centerpiece.

Halloween Craft
-
Recreate a spooky Halloween scene by dying bottle brush trees orange or black. Paint tree stands in black or orange so it contrasts against the color of the tree. Hot-glue miniature spiders, bugs and other creepy crawly creatures to the tree. Hot-glue large plastic eyes to the tree so that it appears that the tree is haunted. Hot-glue large plastic spiders, bats or witches hats to the top of the tree. Cut out shapes of ghosts on silver metallic cardboard and hot-glue them to the side of the tree so it appears as if the ghosts are peeking from behind the tree. Drape glittery spider webs all around the trees.
Valentine's Day Craft
-
Add a romantic touch to any room with a pretty Valentine's Day display of bottle brush trees. Dye or paint trees in colors such as lavender, pink, red or white. Brush on white glue and sprinkle pastel-colored glitter on the trees. Hot-glue miniature plastic or wooden hearts to the tree. Hot-glue silver beads, tiny bows and plastic lips to the tree. Add a pair of lovebirds to the top of the tree. Set the trees in a piece of floral foam. Conceal the floral foam with tulle. Or place the decorated tree in a Valentine's Day mug and set it on the table.
