Wire Beaded Cuff Projects
Beaded cuff bracelets are a versatile accessory for a woman's wardrobe that can either dress up or dress down whatever she decides to wear. Beaded cuffs can often be costly, depending on the materials used or the name of the maker. For someone who enjoys making jewelry, it is not difficult to reproduce a beaded cuff with just a few materials.

Elastic Beaded Cuff
-
Elastic makes the creation of a beaded cuff bracelet simpler than expected. However, for the bracelet to be well made, the appropriate elastic must be used and knots tied correctly. The best elastic for a beaded cuff is 1mm in diameter. Other materials needed are beads, spacers and scissors. Measure around the wrist, adding 1 inch, then cut the elastic from the spool. Hold one side to prevent the beads from falling off, and thread the other beads and spacers onto the elastic. Once the beads are in place on the elastic, tie off the ends of the elastic. Hold both ends between thumb and forefinger, and tie the same way a person would tie a balloon end after you have inflated it.
Elastic Multistrand Beaded Cuff
-
This beaded cuff uses the same technique and materials as the single-strand elastic beaded cuff. However, the addition of "bridges" are necessary to separate the strands from each other. Bridges can be as small as two strands, or as large as 10 strands. For elastic, it is best not to use more than five-hole bridges. When creating the cuff, the bridges will need to be evenly spaced, with the same amount of beads between them on each strand. Complete one row at a time and tie it off to avoid extra work.

Memory Wire Beaded Cuff
-
Memory wire adds metal to the beaded cuff and can be made with many strands or layers, literally wrapping around the wrist or whatever part of the arm it is to be worn on. The necessary materials are straightforward: beads, memory wire, wire cutters and round-nose pliers. Cut a strand of as many memory wire loops as desired. Use regular wire cutters, do not use bead wire cutters. Memory wire is much harder than other bead wires and will damage them. Clip off the wire and bend the end over into a loop with the round-nose pliers. Start adding your beads from the opposite end. When the desired look is achieved, again, use the round-nose pliers to bend the memory wire into a loop at the end to keep the beads from coming off.
Long Wrap Cuff With Magnetic Clasp
-
This design is simply a long strand of high-grade nylon wire, with beads and a magnetic clasp. For an ample number of loops for a cuff, cut 24 inches of nylon wire. Tie one half of the magnetic clasp to one end of the nylon wire using a double knot and using tweezers if necessary to tighten the knot as much as possible. Strand the beads as desired. This bracelet is better with multicolored and various types of beads for versatility with your wardrobe. Once the nylon strand is full, tie the other end of the magnetic clasp to the wire, the same way the first one was tied. Put the bracelet on by winding it around your wrist until the clasps automatically connect heads. Turn the bracelet around so that the clasp is on the inside of your wrist.
