Beach Themed Gifts for Guys

For the guy who loves the sand and sun, a beach themed gift is something he will appreciate. There are many different ways you can approach this idea depending on what your budget is. You may even want to combine ideas. Whatever you decide, your beach guy will be touched by your thoughtfulness and will be rushing out the door with his new gear.

Beach Bag

  • For the guy who spends a lot of time on the beach, you can purchase an over-sized beach bag and fill it with all sorts of goodies. Some items you may include are a new bathing suit, a hat, suntan lotion, sunglasses, flip-flops and a beach towel. A water bottle with a built-in light is a useful addition if he likes staying on the beach past dusk. If the person you are buying the gift for loves to read, pick out the latest bestseller and an assortment of magazines that he can dive into. If he likes to stay active, throw in a Frisbee and a football too. For a sentimental touch, consider having the bag personalized.

Picnic Baskets

  • If your guy loves food and maybe has a romantic side, consider giving him a picnic basket. It doesn't need to be the old fashioned kind either. If he is more rugged, think of buying the backpacks that actually have picnic baskets built into them. They are insulated and have room for food, beverages and some even come equipped with plastic cups, plates and utensils. They are easy to pack and carry onto the beach.

  • For the man who loves carrying around multiple gadgets, buy a waterproof, clear case. With it, he can safely store his cell phone, MP3 player, watch and camera. Because the case is clear, he can easily check the time or see if he has received any new messages. He will love never having to worry about dropping something into the sand or getting it wet. If you really want to splurge, buy a new gadget for him and put in the the clear case.

Beach Chairs

  • For the true beach bum, maybe it's time to splurge on some elaborate beach chairs. Pick chairs that suit his style most. If he loves to lay back and lounge, buy a cushioned chair that reclines back. If he likes the sand but prefers the shade, purchase a chair that has a built-in visor that he can pull over to block out the sun. Other things to consider when picking out a chair is if it has cup holders, is comfortable and will stand the test of time.
