Homecoming & Prom Themes
Homecoming and prom are two traditional dances that are highlights in the lives of high school students. Along with girls in gorgeous gowns, guys in fancy tuxedos and loud music, these two most important high school dances also usually embrace themes. By using a theme, homecoming or prom will be an even more memorable event. Does this Spark an idea?

Hollywood
-
A Hollywood-themed homecoming or prom promises a glamorous event that will make attending students feel like movie stars. Mark the entrance of the venue with a lush red carpet. For a true Hollywood effect, invite parents and staff to snap photos of the students as they enter the dance. Once inside, students can take a look at a Walk of Fame constructed from cardboard stars decorated with the names of teachers and the dance's court members. Golden balloons, star-shaped decor and lots of glitter will add extra glitz to the night.
Paris
-
For a homecoming or prom that is tres chic, use a Parisian theme. Capture the romantic glow of The City of Lights by hanging strings of white lights throughout the room, including draping them across the ceiling. Place a replica of the Eiffel Tower in the venue to really make the space look like Paris. Adding metal cafe tables and chairs will give students a place to catch their breath after dancing and will add the look of a Paris sidewalk cafe.

Luau
-
A luau theme provides students with an entertaining way to say goodbye to summer at homecoming or welcome the warm weather at prom. Greet students at the door with brightly colored leis. To give the room a tropical vibe, decorate the venue with balloons in bright pinks, vibrant teals, yellow and lime green. Fake palm trees and some beach balls will also add to the Hawaiian look. To mimic a beachside party, serve tropical-inspired beverages, such as fruit smoothies and virgin pina coladas, in whimsical pineapple-shaped cups.
Fire and Ice
-
Schools looking for a modern, trendy theme can embrace the concept of fire and ice. Along with a fiery red carpet to lead students to the event, pillars with pots of dry ice add a foggy, cool yet romantic effect. Inside, tables can show off impressive ice sculptures or beautiful collections of candles. A show of fireworks also helps illustrate the fire aspect of the theme and is sure to awe all in attendance.
