Castor Oil Cures
Castor oil has been used for centuries to aid in the cure of various ailments. While it is not a traditional medication, many physicians recommend the use of Castor oil as a type of alternative medicine. Castor oil comes from the seeds of the Castor oil plant. It is a pale, yellow liquid that has little taste or smell; however, it burns the throat a bit when swallowed.

Arthritis, Muscle Pain and Back Pain
-
The best way to relieve arthritis, muscle pain and back pain with Castor oil is to make a Castor oil heat pack. Do this by soaking a cloth in Castor oil, then placing the cloth over the area in pain. Cover the cloth with plastic wrap. Place a hot water bottle over the plastic to create a heat source to ease the pain. If you don't have a hot water bottle, the Castor oil on the cloth still works to relieve your pain, but you may have to leave it on a bit longer. You can also leave the Castor oil-soaked cloth on over night.
Laxative
-
Castor oil can be taken internally as a laxative. Take 1/2 oz. Castor oil either by itself or mixed in a glass of milk. When taken internally, Castor oil also rids your body of any intestinal worms. Take 1 tsp. Castor oil mixed in a glass of milk in the morning and again at night.

Foot Pain

To treat foot pain, saturate a cloth in Castor oil and wrap your feet in the cloth. Put socks over the cloth and keep on overnight. Use old socks, as Castor oil can stain. To keep your feet from hurting during the day, rub a little Castor oil on before you put your socks on.
